The Absent Light – Opening for Tony MacAlpine

Hello everyone!

It is with a great satisfaction that I can say that The Absent Light will be opening for the awesome Tony MacAlpine with his amazing band that has Aquiles Priester on Drums and Bjorn Englen on Bass.

For those of you who don’t know Tony MacAlpine (WHY?) Tony basically started the shred guitar movement back in the 1980’s. He has playing with amazing musicians, recorded 12 albums and all of that on top os also being an incredible pianist!

You should not miss this show, it will be at Studio Seven in Seattle, WA on October 17th.

Doors at 7 and I hope to see some familiar faces there!!

The Absent Light – Recording @ Robert Lang Studios

A couple weeks ago I had a 2 day session at the iconic Robert Lang Studios in Shoreline, WA to record drums for the next record from The Absent Light!

For those who don’t know what “Robert Langs” is, you can see some of it at Episode of Sonic Highways (yes, they are the studio in that episode that Dave Grohl chose).

It was an amazing experience as I could not expect anything less, Kee Curlee (Engineer) and his assistant Ariel Peake were really great to us (Cayce Smith, John Wise and Kyle Toy).

I have been listening to a few takes and it is just WOW! Really, there are no words to describe it.

I can’t wait for all the stuff we have in store to be out there in the wild! Trust me, it will be worth the wait!

Anyways, go have a look at a few pictures from those amazing days and while you are at that, make sure you stop at our page and give us a like as well as to Robert Langs

Thank you very much to Robert Langs in having us and I am sure we will be back again! You guys really rock! \m/

Move, updates and exciting news!

Hi Everyone!

I know it’s been a little bit without too much updates here but I have to say that soon enough there will be some really great stuff coming your way!

I am not sure if all of you know but I have relocated from the Bay Area to the great Pacific Northwest, more precisely to Seattle, Washington. I have been really excited in being here, this city has a lot of my heroes from childhood like Kurt Cobain, Chris Cornell, Geoff Tate and the list goes on for a bit more!

Right now I am working with a band which I will reveal soon as well as with some other cool projects that will be released soon too so, hang tight and soon enough you will have some great stuff to listen to, at least that is what I Hope! ?

As always, thank you all for the awesome support!
