The Absent Light – Opening for Tony MacAlpine

Hello everyone!

It is with a great satisfaction that I can say that The Absent Light will be opening for the awesome Tony MacAlpine with his amazing band that has Aquiles Priester on Drums and Bjorn Englen on Bass.

For those of you who don’t know Tony MacAlpine (WHY?) Tony basically started the shred guitar movement back in the 1980’s. He has playing with amazing musicians, recorded 12 albums and all of that on top os also being an incredible pianist!

You should not miss this show, it will be at Studio Seven in Seattle, WA on October 17th.

Doors at 7 and I hope to see some familiar faces there!!

The Absent Light – Recording @ Robert Lang Studios

A couple weeks ago I had a 2 day session at the iconic Robert Lang Studios in Shoreline, WA to record drums for the next record from The Absent Light!

For those who don’t know what “Robert Langs” is, you can see some of it at Episode of Sonic Highways (yes, they are the studio in that episode that Dave Grohl chose).

It was an amazing experience as I could not expect anything less, Kee Curlee (Engineer) and his assistant Ariel Peake were really great to us (Cayce Smith, John Wise and Kyle Toy).

I have been listening to a few takes and it is just WOW! Really, there are no words to describe it.

I can’t wait for all the stuff we have in store to be out there in the wild! Trust me, it will be worth the wait!

Move, updates and exciting news!

Hi Everyone!

I know it’s been a little bit without too much updates here but I have to say that soon enough there will be some really great stuff coming your way!

I am not sure if all of you know but I have relocated from the Bay Area to the great Pacific Northwest, more precisely to Seattle, Washington. I have been really excited in being here, this city has a lot of my heroes from childhood like Kurt Cobain, Chris Cornell, Geoff Tate and the list goes on for a bit more!

Right now I am working with a band which I will reveal soon as well as with some other cool projects that will be released soon too so, hang tight and soon enough you will have some great stuff to listen to, at least that is what I Hope! ?

Goodbye 2015, Come 2016! Favorite Films , Albums and TV Series for 2015

2015 .. it was an AWESOME year … with lots of ups and a few bad downs which are always there to help us learn and evolve ..

Some big changes happened, just relocated to Seattle, WA with my love Robin, started new endeavors and I am sure music will be amazing in the next year and on ..

As always, I will be at NAMM in January which is always a plus after a year ends and I hope to see some familiar faces there and talk about our passion which is music ..

Thank you everyone for the support in the past years and I can say that I am truly excited for what’s coming .. I hope you all have a great new year’s and that 2016 bring to all of us, peace, joy, health and lots of challenges to keep us alive and dreaming!

SIGMA PROJECT releases “Reality Field”

Reality Field, the first album release from Brazilian Progressive Instrumental band Sigma Project was  released on September 15th on all media outlets, including their own Bandcamp channel.

Pre-orders are also available for those who want a physical copy of the album and right now you can email them at if you are interested.

Sigma Project started back in 2011 as an idea from Vitor Mancini (Guitars) andRaphael Rodrigues (Bass) then later Neemias Teixeira (Keyboards) and Marco Bicca (Drums) joined the project. 
The album was recorded in Brazil at Midiwave studios except for drums which were recorded in San Francisco, CA where the drummer currently resides at.

Everything was produced, mixed and mastered by Vitor Mancini and Neemias Teixeira.

Seven songs are in the album which include their previous released EP’s plus a brand new (17:12) long song composed by all the members called “The Course of All There Is” , orchestral arrangements were done by the great Michał Mierzejewski (Symphonic Theater of DreamsSinfonietta Consonus).

All the artwork and graphics were done by Raphael Rodrigues.
